Bookends Of Black Cinema

“The Classic and the Cult” — A two-day retrospective followed by a panel discussion moderated by film expert Ale Duckenfield-López and featuring Josiah Howard (author of “Blaxploitation Cinema: The Essential Reference Guide”). Film 2: “Super Fly” (1972). Both a critics’ pet and a crowd-pleasing favorite, which knocked “The Godfather” out of the No. 1 spot on Variety’s Top Grossing Films list.

Film 2: May 13, 6:30 pm
Tickets $11.75 ($8 for members).
