Japanese Food, Sake & Traditional Live Music

This program is part of Five Senses of Japan, a curated, immersive exploration of Japanese culture through sound, taste, and tradition. Japanese food and sake tastings are woven into the evening, alongside live performances by a shakuhachi and koto duo. The breathy tones of the shakuhachi and the flowing strings of the koto create a calm, expressive soundscape rooted in Japan’s classical music traditions, setting a reflective and intimate atmosphere for the experience. Five Senses of Japan brings together music, cuisine, film, ikebana, and fashion to honor both historical craftsmanship and contemporary expression, with a special focus on women artists and cross-cultural exchange.
