Ensemble Ibis, conducted by Shawn Crouch, presents an evening of new music anchored by the world premiere of When Wood and Metal Become Alive, a concerto for Sinfonietta by San Francisco Bay Area composer Mark Winges. The work explores the relationship between organic resonance and mechanical force, performed by the players of Ibis.
The program also includes a selection of contemporary works reflecting the ensemble’s focus on adventurous and cutting-edge repertoire.
