Weather Girl
October 7 @ 7:30 pm
“Weather Girl,” a dark comedy by Brian Watkins, follows California meteorologist Ella Olesen as she reports from Fresno while trying to maintain an upbeat on-air presence amid worsening climate conditions.
As Ella continues delivering forecasts with relentless optimism, the performance gradually reveals a more volatile side of her character and the pressures beneath her polished television persona. The play uses satire and absurdity to examine climate anxiety, media performance, and American culture.
“Weather Girl” was named one of The New York Times’ Best Plays of 2025.
