Lecture: Saint Exupéry and the Americas
October 7 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Alliance Française Miami Metro presents “Saint-Exupéry and the Americas,” a lecture examining Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s connection to the United States and the history of “The Little Prince.”
During World War II, the French writer and aviator lived in New York, where he worked on “The Little Prince” before the book was first published in French and English in 1943. The program will explore this period of Saint-Exupéry’s life and the lasting cultural legacy of his best-known work.
Thierry Chaunu, president of the American Society of Le Souvenir Français, will lead the presentation. A Q&A session will follow, along with a cocktail reception featuring wine and a buffet by La Croquantine.
