The Reading Party
October 28 @ 8:00 pm
The Books & Books Literary Foundation hosts “The (Silent) Reading Party,” a gathering at Books & Books in Coral Gables where participants can read independently before discussing their books with fellow readers.
Hosted by Alyssa Expósito, Social Media Manager at Books & Books and Program Coordinator at the Books & Books Literary Foundation, the event begins with 30 to 60 minutes of quiet reading, followed by conversation and wine. Attendees can bring their own books or select something from the bookstore’s collection. Halloween costumes are also welcome.
Expósito, a Miami native and graduate of the University of Miami and Columbia University, works in education, community programming, and social media through her roles at Books & Books and its literary foundation.
