OLMO

Set in 1979 New Mexico, this coming-of-age film follows 14-year-old Olmo, whose family is struggling financially while caring for his father, Nestor, who is confined to bed by illness. Olmo shares caregiving responsibilities with his mother, Cecilia, and sister, Ana, but would rather spend time with his best friend Miguel and his next-door neighbor Nina. When Nina invites him to a party on a day he has been left alone to care for his father, Olmo tries to escape his responsibilities, setting off a series of mishaps that forces him to confront his relationship with his family.
