Henry Mancini Reimagined | HMI Big Band

The Henry Mancini Institute Big Band celebrates the music of Henry Mancini with new arrangements created by members of the Studio Jazz Writing program. The concert pairs Mancini’s familiar melodies with contemporary big band arrangements that explore new harmonies, textures, and rhythmic approaches.

The program highlights the work of emerging composers and arrangers while maintaining a connection to Mancini’s legacy in film and jazz. Each selection offers a different interpretation of his music through the perspective of today’s jazz writers and performers.
