Armenet and Friends with Luke Fleming, Viola

January 29 @ 7:30 pm

The second concert of the Amernet and Friends chamber music series takes place January 29 at the Sanctuary of the Arts, featuring guest violist Luke Fleming. Presented by The Wertheim, the program continues the Amernet String Quartet’s ongoing role as FIU’s Artists in Residence Ensemble and their commitment to presenting chamber music of depth and range.

Internationally recognized for their stylistic versatility and ensemble precision, the Amernet String Quartet has built a strong reputation through performances that balance technical clarity with thoughtful interpretation. Their presence has become a defining part of South Florida’s classical music scene, as well as FIU’s music education mission.

Joining the quartet is Luke Fleming, a Juilliard-trained violist praised by the Philadelphia Inquirer for his “glowing refinement.” Fleming is the founding director of both the Manhattan Chamber Players and the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival. He has performed with ensembles including the Escher, Modigliani, and Orion Quartets and is widely regarded for his contributions as both a performer and educator.

The Amernet and Friends Concert Series is made possible through the support of The Wertheim and the Funding Arts Network.
