AninA
September 13 @ 11:00 am

Celebrate National Grandparents Day on September 13 with a family screening of “AninA,” an animated film about a 10-year-old girl in Montevideo navigating school, friendships, and an unusual punishment after a playground fight.
Anina Yatay Salas is frequently teased by classmates because of her palindromic name. After a conflict with another student, Yisel, the school principal gives both girls a suspended detention. From there, Anina narrates her everyday life, including her relationship with her parents, schoolwork, neighbors, friendships, and the worries and joys of childhood.
The film is suitable for ages 9 and older.
