This year’s Capture Coral Gables photography contest at the Coral Gables Museum explored life in the city in conjunction with the United States’ 250th anniversary. A jury selected 25 finalists across five categories examining the city’s people, architecture, public spaces, environment, and future. Jurors included our editor-in-chief, JP Faber; photographer and artist David Gary Lloyd; and custom framer Anthony Lobos.
Ruben Hernandez received the America 250 Grand Prize for “Unfolding Liberties on the Steps of Civic Life,” taken on the steps of the former First Church of Christ, Scientist, now home to Sanctuary of the Arts.
