The NightGarden at Fairchild
After much success last year, NightGarden will be back and better at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. This year’s event will be three times larger than last year with a majority of the lighting displays, holograms and immersive activities being brand new. Watson
Based on the life of IBM founder Thomas J. Watson, Sr., this is the story of the Nazi’s use of IBM’s pre-computer technology and the world’s first “personal information” catastrophe – the systematic identification of the Jews. In 1937, Watson became the first American to receive the Order of the German Eagle award, one of the highest honors Adolf Hitler ever bestowed on a non-German. Opens Nov. 23 at GableStage. The annual burger bash returns to Fred B. Hartnett/Ponce Circle Park (2800 Ponce de Leon Blvd.). Classics Come Alive!
The Frost Saxophone Ensemble welcomes to the stage virtuoso violinist Charles Castleman for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major that you will never forget. Purple Rain
Rockstar prince plays “the Kid,” a headstrong young musician who leads his band The Revolution in 1984 Minneapolis. After meeting aspiring singer Apollonia, the Kid discovers that talent alone isn’t all he needs to succeed. Purple Rain’s score won an Academy Award and the titular album won a Grammy.
