The Burrow Session: Jahzel Dotel and The Cosmos

Dominican-American singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist Jahzel Dotel leads Jahzel and the Cosmos in a live performance combining jazz, soul, Latin music, and alternative sounds. The ensemble features Steven Shapiro on guitar, Juseph Ballestero on drums, Charlie Paez on piano, and Niel Miranda on bass. The program includes original compositions and improvisation, exploring the influences and musical styles that shape Dotel’s work. Audience members are encouraged to interact with the musicians while keeping personal conversations to a minimum during the performance.
