Frost Chopin Academy & Festival: “In Harmony: Schumann, Chopin, & the Academy winners”
June 19 @ 7:00 pm

The Frost Chopin Academy & Festival presents an evening featuring the Apollon Musagète Quartet, Frost School of Music bassist Brian Powell, and the winners of the Academy’s chamber and concerto auditions.
The concert pairs established performers with emerging young musicians participating in the Academy. The program includes Robert Schumann’s “Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44,” a cornerstone of the Romantic chamber music repertoire scored for piano and string quartet.
The evening will also feature one of Frédéric Chopin’s piano concerti, performed by the winner of the Academy’s concerto auditions. The specific concerto will be determined by the selected performer.
The concert highlights the Academy’s educational mission by providing young pianists the opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians in a collaborative setting.
The Apollon Musagète Quartet’s residency at the Frost Chopin Academy & Festival is presented in partnership with Friends of Chamber Music of Miami.
