An Evening with Gabi Abrão

Books & Books welcomes author Gabi Abrão for an evening celebrating the release of her new book, “Practices in Apparition.” The second title from Abrão, the collection weaves together true stories that move through the digital and the natural, enduring and fleeting romances, theory and revelation, all in pursuit of the sacred. It is, as she describes it, an offering to ghosts and gods and the vessels in which they long to be seen.

Abrão is an artist, writer, and digital creator born and raised in West Los Angeles, known online as sighswoon. With over 130,000 followers, her work has long explored the ephemerality of human experience and the language of the invisible.

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase the night of the event. An RSVP guarantees entry but not a seat, so arriving early is encouraged.
