Roo’s Family Fest at CGM

Roo’s Family Fest is a free, hands-on festival for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children held during Family Day at the Coral Gables Museum. The event is organized in collaboration with Kids L.A.B. Therapy, Florida International University, and community partners, bringing together early childhood professionals, educators, and local organizations under one roof.

The festival is designed for parents, caregivers, and guardians looking to connect with early childhood resources, meet local experts, and engage their children in structured developmental activities. Programming spans the entire Museum and is built around creativity, movement, literacy, and sensory exploration.

Families can expect live music introducing children to rhythm and movement, sensory stations supporting cognitive and motor development, guided art workshops focused on fine motor skills, and storytime with local authors building early literacy. The festival also includes dance and yoga classes, cooking demonstrations, surprise live performances, educational exhibits from local schools and children’s programs, and a dedicated space to connect with child-focused businesses and community organizations.
