“Calle Málaga” follows Maria Angeles, a 79 year old Spanish woman living alone in Tangier, Morocco, who enjoys a quiet daily routine. Her life changes when her daughter arrives from Madrid with plans to sell the apartment where Maria Angeles has lived for years. Determined to remain in her home, she sets out to recover both her belongings and her independence. Along the way, she unexpectedly reconnects with love and a renewed sense of personal freedom. “Calle Málaga” was selected as the Moroccan entry for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
