In this remake of the classic science fiction horror film, Jeff Goldblum stars as a scientist whose experimental teleportation device malfunctions, causing his DNA to fuse with that of a housefly. As the experiment’s effects intensify, his physical and mental transformation accelerates beyond his control.
Geena Davis plays a journalist who becomes closely involved in his work and is forced to confront the consequences of the experiment as the scientist’s human traits begin to erode. The film explores themes of scientific ambition, bodily transformation, and loss of identity through a blend of psychological tension and practical special effects.
