Unbroken: Music of Strength and Resilience
November 16, 2025 @ 4:00 pm
In a program organized around themes of sorrow, resilience, and renewal, violinist Daniel Jordan (Concertmaster of the Sarasota Orchestra), cellist Natalie Helm (Principal Cellist of the Sarasota Orchestra), and pianist Marina Radiushina (Artistic Director of the Miami Chamber Music Society) examine the expressive capacity of chamber music across contrasting emotional landscapes.
The performance includes Solomon Rosowsky’s “Fantastic Dance on Hebrew Themes,” Mykola Lysenko’s “Élégie.” “La Tristesse,” and Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Piano Trio No. 2,” a work often associated with moments of profound reflection and historical tension. The program concludes with Johannes Brahms’s “Piano Trio in B major, Op. 8,” offering a tonal shift toward clarity and uplift. Together, the selections trace a musical progression from anguish and persistence to a sense of renewal.
