Author Jenny Jackson discusses the release of her novel “The Shampoo Effect” in conversation with Asha Elias. Set in the coastal village of Greenhead, Massachusetts, the novel follows Caroline Lash, Van Whittaker, and a close-knit group of longtime friends whose relationships begin to unravel after Van’s ex-girlfriend Bailey becomes pregnant with his child.
The book explores friendship, heartbreak, long-held secrets, early midlife, parenting, and the tensions within a social circle that has remained tied to the same town, habits, and history. The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase the night of the event. An RSVP grants general entry, but seating is not guaranteed.
