The Last Margaret Keane | On Migration, Reinvention, and Finding Yourself

Join author and artist Milena Brown for the English-language release of her novel, “The Last Margaret Keane.” Brown will discuss the novel with moderator Megan, a Miami-based lawyer, writer, and contributor to “Letters From Miami.”

Originally published in Spanish, “The Last Margaret Keane” follows a woman during her first months in Miami and explores migration, memory, identity, creativity, and the process of adjusting to a new city. Brown is a Colombian writer and artist based in Miami whose work includes the monthly hand-drawn zine “Letters From Miami” and the chapbook series “Early Writings.”

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase. RSVP provides general admission, but seating is not guaranteed, and early arrival is recommended.
