Priya Parker in conversation with Francesca de Quesada Covey

Books & Books, in partnership with MOSAIC Miami, welcomes author and conflict facilitator Priya Parker for the release of her new book, “The Art of Fighting: The Transformative Power of Conflict.”
In the book, Parker examines the role conflict plays in relationships, workplaces, teams, and communities, arguing that disagreement is not necessarily a sign that a group is failing. Drawing from her work in conflict resolution, research, and real-world examples, she explores how people can identify disputes, decide when and how to address them, and recognize when some conflicts may not be resolved.
Parker is also the author of “The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters.” Her background includes work on race relations on American college campuses and peace processes in the Arab world, southern Africa, and India.
The conversation will be moderated by Francesca de Quesada Covey, vice president of community impact at the Knight Foundation and former chief innovation and economic development officer for Miami-Dade County. Her previous experience also includes work at the Obama White House and Meta.
