Planting for Patriotism: An America 250 Initiative

Keep Coral Gables Beautiful (KCGB), a City of Coral Gables program, will host a volunteer planting event at the Youth Center’s Blue Star Memorial on Saturday, June 27, from 9 to 11 am, creating a red, white, and blue landscape display in advance of Independence Day. The effort is supported by a Blue Star Memorial Grant from Keep America Beautiful and aligns with the nationwide America250 commemoration.
Volunteers will assist in enhancing the area surrounding the Blue Star Memorial, which honors those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The project will create a welcoming and impactful space for residents and visitors while reinforcing the city’s ongoing commitment to community beautification.
