Opening Reception: Local Leadership, National Legacy: Coral Gables Mayors Across a Century

July 1 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

The Coral Gables Museum, in collaboration with the City of Coral Gables, presents an exhibition examining a century of civic leadership through portraits and biographical profiles of the men and women who have served as mayor since the city’s founding in 1925.

Spanning 100 years of local government, the exhibition highlights the individuals who guided Coral Gables through periods of growth, change, and development. Through portraits and historical information, visitors can explore the contributions and leadership of the city’s mayors and their role in shaping public policy, civic institutions, and community life.

Presented in conjunction with the nation’s 250th anniversary, the exhibition considers the role of local government within American democracy and examines how public service and civic leadership influence communities at the municipal level.

The exhibition is organized by the Coral Gables Museum in partnership with the City of Coral Gables.
