“On Broadway” Advanced Camp, Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition)

Students from the Actors’ Playhouse “On Broadway” Advanced Camp will perform Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition), a 60-minute version of the Broadway musical inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox film.
The story follows Anya, a young woman determined to uncover the truth about her past. Her journey takes her from the final years of the Russian Empire to 1920s Paris. Along the way, she joins a con man and a former aristocrat while being pursued by a Soviet officer.
The musical follows Anya’s search for her identity, family and a place to call home. It features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, the Tony Award-winning creators associated with Ragtime and Once on This Island.
The production is inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox motion pictures through a special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical. It is based on the play by Marcelle Maurette, as adapted by Guy Bolton.
