Olé!- The Lyric Concert Series – Zarzuela Highlights in Concert

Florida L’Opera & Zarzuela presents an evening of beloved selections from the classical Zarzuela repertoire, performed by international singers Roxana Triana, Josué Brizuela, and Enrique Estrada, accompanied by Eden Marte on piano. The program features solos and ensembles drawn from some of the most celebrated Zarzuela works of all time.

Zarzuela is a traditional Spanish musical genre with roots in the 17th century, combining operatic, theatrical, and musical elements with a distinctive mix of sung and spoken parts. The genre traveled to the Americas during the colonial period, where it merged with indigenous musical traditions to create a unique lyric form that reflects the cultural diversity of the region.

The concert is presented with support from the City of Coral Gables Cultural Arts Division. Admission is free; a suggested donation of $5 to $20 is appreciated. Florida L’Opera & Zarzuela is a Hispanic-led nonprofit dedicated to enriching its community through the performance, research, and education of opera, Zarzuela, and oratorio.
