Merrick House – Weekend Guided Tours

Explore the Coral Gables Merrick House, the childhood home of city founder George Merrick and a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Docent-guided tours take visitors through 14 rooms while sharing information about the house and the city’s early history.

Visitors may also walk the 1.3-acre grounds, which include a historic grotto, Heritage Garden, lily pond and wraparound porch.

Tours are offered Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. Reservations are not required, and admission must be paid in cash. Group tours require at least two weeks’ notice and may be arranged by emailing merrickhouse@coralgables.com.

Pets, food, open drinks and strollers are not permitted inside the house. Free parking is available behind the property, and public restrooms are located onsite.
