The City of Coral Gables announces “Intervals,” a new series in the city’s Art in Public Places program that invites residents and visitors to experience time-space encounters with contemporary art across the city.

Intervals is conceived as a series of artistic interventions where contemporary works engage with specific sites and with the thoughts and rhythms that shape them, to reveal perspectives beyond the everyday of Coral Gables, Miami and the world. Within Intervals, artists respond to the richness and constraints of uncharacteristic spaces, transforming them into moments of encounter, reflection and discovery. Five artists will present five site-responsive installations across Coral Gables. Each installation is open and publicly accessible, created in partnership with hotels, other public spaces, and galleries represented at Art Basel Miami Beach.
