Gallery Night | Ken Lyon: suspensions, tensions + illusions

August 7 @ 7:00 pm

Photographer Ken Lyon will present a month-long exhibition featuring 10 images created over a 10-year period in North America, South America and Europe.

The photographs explore mystery and illusion through scenes that range from direct to more subtle. Each image was captured digitally and printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper. The collection was also submitted to the 2026 Photolucida Critical Mass photography competition.

Lyon has worked in photography for nearly 60 years, beginning in a home darkroom in Worcester, Massachusetts. He later attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University before pursuing a career as a chef and restaurateur. Over the past 15 years, he returned to photography and now works primarily in black and white.

His current practice combines digital image capture with hand-pulled platinum and palladium printing, bringing together digital and analog processes with an emphasis on prints made on paper.

The Gallery Night opening is free and open to the public. Advance RSVP is requested for those planning to attend.
