Explore this gallery of inspiring photography & stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. More about “Who Is Miami?”:
They are of different ages. They are of different cultures and skin colors. They work in different industries. But their truth, wisdom, power, and beauty are in what they believe, what they tell, and what they do for a better world.
Who Is Miami is a multimedia storytelling collaboration between Impact.Edition and Good Miami Project to capture the tremendous — and sometimes invisible — efforts of local changemakers advancing social and environmental justice in our communities.
Photography: Good Miami Project provides pro-bono photoshoots for Miami-based nonprofits and changemakers to help market their missions. Images are free for organizations to use.
Curator: As independent nonprofit media, Impact.Edition elevates the voices of local changemakers who work toward positive, lasting change – from addressing social inequality to saving the planet from environmental ruin. Through community journalism published online and in print, artistic exhibitions, live readings and panel discussions – all open to the public – Impact.Edition empowers people with best practices and creative solutions for more just, sustainable, healthier, and happier communities.
The public exhibition will be on view at Books & Books through August 27, 2023.
