Five Fingers, Six Strings

Join Syncopate Collective for a program inspired by the flamenco guitar and the relationship between its six strings and the performer’s technique. Choreographer Rafael Ruiz del Vizo applies a contemporary dance vocabulary to examine ideas of tension, discipline, and collaboration. The work considers the individual and collective effort required to create cohesion and artistic lift, drawing from the structure and expressive range of flamenco.
