An Evening with Take 6 | The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra

Take 6 performs with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra at the Frost School of Music for a program combining the group’s a cappella sound with full orchestral arrangements.
The six-member vocal group has won 10 Grammy Awards and is known for blending gospel, jazz, R&B, and pop through close vocal harmonies. For this performance, Take 6 is joined by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, adding orchestral arrangements to the group’s vocal repertoire.
The program brings together Take 6’s ensemble singing with the HMI Orchestra’s larger instrumental sound, moving across multiple musical styles throughout the performance.
The concert is presented on two nights, with guests able to attend either performance or both.
