Día de los Muertos / Day of the Dead

The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami presents “Mictlán: Día de Muertos 2026,” a celebration of the traditional Mexican holiday honoring deceased loved ones, at Ponce Circle Park in Coral Gables. The event features traditional Mexican performances, live music, dance, art, food, and cultural activities highlighting the country’s heritage.
The celebration also includes traditional ofrendas, or altars created to honor the deceased, reflecting the customs and symbolism associated with Día de Muertos. For the Consulate General of Mexico, the annual celebration is part of its cultural diplomacy efforts to preserve and share the ancestral traditions of Mexico’s indigenous and pre-Hispanic populations.
