News Without a Newsroom

A special presentation of “News Without a Newsroom” will be followed by a Q&A with director and producer Oana Martisca. The documentary examines the decline of local newsrooms and the challenges facing journalism in the digital age, including misinformation, public trust and accountability.

Martisca is a Romanian-born filmmaker, storyteller and multidisciplinary artist who recently moved to Miami. A University of Miami alumna, her work focuses on visual storytelling, journalism and documentary filmmaking, with an emphasis on identity, migration and cultural connections.
