An Evening with Andre Frattino

Author and graphic novelist Andre Frattino will discuss the release of his new book, “We Are Pan,” during a free event open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase that evening.

Based on years of research and interviews conducted in and around Miami, the novel focuses on members of the Pedro Pan community. It follows the experiences of children who left Cuba for Miami before continuing to destinations across the United States, examining how the journey changed their lives.

Frattino is an award-winning graphic novelist and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design and the University of Florida. His previous work includes a graphic adaptation of “A Land Remembered,” “Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour” and a contribution to Jim Henson’s “The Storyteller: Shapeshifter anthology.”
