An Evening with Eli Harwood in conversation with Dr. Mona Amin

Licensed therapist and author Eli Harwood will discuss her new book, “How to Deal With Your ____ So Your Kids Don’t Have To,” in conversation with pediatrician Dr. Mona Amin.
The book is written for parents and parents-to-be who want to address patterns from their own upbringing while developing healthier relationships with their children. Organized alphabetically by areas of personal growth, it examines anger, anxiety, body image, people-pleasing, comparison and other habits that may affect parenting.
Harwood is a licensed therapist, educator and bestselling author with more than 19 years of experience working with relational trauma and attachment. She is also the author of Uniquely Us, Raising Securely Attached Kids and Securely Attached. Her work includes the virtual Secure Parent Program and in-person retreats focused on helping parents break generational patterns and build more secure family relationships.
Moderator Dr. Mona Amin earned a degree in psychobiology from UCLA and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from ATSU-SOMA. She completed her pediatric residency at Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital and has practiced pediatrics since 2015. She has also been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2021. Her work focuses on food, body image, sleep and emotional well-being in children.
