Celebrate Independence Day with the 3rd Annual Independence Day Screening of “Jaws,” Steven Spielberg’s landmark 1975 thriller that redefined the summer blockbuster. Set in the fictional beach town of Amity, the film follows Police Chief Martin Brody, marine biologist Matt Hooper, and shark hunter Quint as they join forces to stop a great white shark that is terrorizing local waters. Featuring John Williams’ iconic score and unforgettable performances from Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw, Jaws remains one of the most influential films in cinema history.
The event begins with an Independence Day BBQ reception at 11:00 am, followed by the film screening at 12:00 pm. Guests who select “Film + BBQ” tickets will enjoy gourmet all-beef hot dogs, classic sides, Mariquitas chips, games, and other festive activities before the movie. The screening is part of the cinema’s annual celebration of American independence and the nation’s 250th anniversary.
