“Suddenly, Last Summer”

Coral Gables Branch Library screens the 1959 film “Suddenly, Last Summer,” starring Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Montgomery Clift. Based on the Tennessee Williams play, the film follows a wealthy New Orleans woman who offers a brain surgeon funding for his research if he agrees to perform a lobotomy on her institutionalized niece, the sole witness to events surrounding her cousin’s death the previous summer.
