The Burrow Sessions No. 11: Gola Akoustik Trio

Virtuoso bassist José Armando Gola returns to The Burrow for a second session, this time leading his Gola Akoustik Trio alongside Michelle Fragoso on piano and Ludwig Afonso on drums. The performance showcases the full range of Gola’s artistry and technique on upright bass.
Gola has been a commanding presence on both upright and electric bass since his early teens, touring internationally and performing at major jazz festivals around the world. He has appeared on multiple GRAMMY-nominated and GRAMMY-winning recordings, collaborating with renowned artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Alejandro Sanz, and Francisco Céspedes. A featured member of Chucho Valdés’s Royal Quartet, Gola continues to shape the sound of contemporary Afro-Cuban jazz while recording and performing across jazz and popular music at the highest level.
Doors open at 8 pm, show starts at 9 pm. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited seats available. Ticket price includes unlimited house cocktails, wine, bubbles, and spirits. Full bar and light bites are available for purchase.
