The evening opens with Guido López-Gavilán’s Obertura Bandida, bursting with Cuban rhythmic vitality and joyous defiance. Viet Cuong’s Deciduous follows, mirroring nature’s cycles of release and renewal. Gustav Holst’s Second Suite in F grounds the program in timeless English folk melodies before Alberto Ginastera’s Danza Final from Estancia ignites the finale with explosive South American rhythm and motion.
