The Centennial Set | Frost Jazz Orchestra

The Frost Jazz Orchestra returns to Gusman Hall for its fourth annual live album recording under the direction of Dr. John Daversa. This year’s program features original compositions written by members of the ensemble, created specifically to honor the centennial of both the University of Miami and the Frost School of Music.
The performance highlights the individual voices of the student composers within the orchestra, reflecting the creative depth of one of Frost’s premier large jazz ensembles. The live recording tradition, now in its fourth year, documents the ensemble’s evolving sound and commitment to original work.
