Teofilo Victoria Lecture Series I – Featuring Victor Dover

The Coral Gables Museum, in partnership with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, presents the inaugural Teofilo Victoria Lecture as part of its Link and Learn program. The lecture features Victor Dover, a nationally recognized leader in city planning, neighborhood design, and street design.
Dover has led more than 200 planning charrettes and lectures focused on livable communities and sustainable development. He is the coauthor of “Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns” with John Massengale, a widely cited work in contemporary urban planning. A Fellow of both the American Institute of Certified Planners and the Congress for the New Urbanism, Dover has served as national chair of CNU and is a recipient of the Seaside Prize and the John Nolen Medal for his contributions to urbanism.
An adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami, Dover has also served as president of the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, as a board member of the National Recreation and Parks Association, and currently serves on the board of the Tropical Audubon Society. The lecture will focus on strategies for creating vibrant, sustainable, and livable communities through thoughtful design and planning.
