Sara Baras: Vuela
March 1 @ 3:00 pm

Vuela meaning “fly” is performed by acclaimed flamenco artist Sara Baras alongside 13 dancers and musicians. The work unfolds across four acts built around the themes Wood, Sea, Death, and Fly, presented through 15 distinct pieces that trace an expressive narrative through movement, music, and rhythm.
Baras is one of Spain’s most recognized flamenco performers and has presented 17 productions across five continents, performing in more than 40 countries. Widely regarded as a cultural ambassador for flamenco, her influence extends beyond the stage. She is the first Spanish artist to be honored with a Barbie doll and has also been commemorated on a Spanish national coin.
Beginning two hours before each performance, the public is invited to free flamenco themed activities on the Thomson Plaza for the Arts, including live dance, music, workshops, and cultural programming. Spanish inspired food and a signature cocktail will be available for purchase.
Tickets are available at ArshtCenter.org or by calling the Arsht Center box office at 305-949-6722.
