An Evening with Mark Rowlands

Mark Rowlands will appear at Books & Books to discuss his latest book, The Book of Memory: How We Become Who We Are. The event will take place at the Coral Gables location at 265 Aragon Avenue. Admission is free, and copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event. For those unable to attend in person, the book may also be ordered online.
“The Book of Memory,” Rowlands explores how memory functions as an evolving process rather than a fixed record. Drawing from philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, and literary references, he examines how different types of memory shape identity, including episodic memories, inherited memories, and those that fade over time. The discussion considers how memory influences personal history and self understanding.
