In partnership with Florida Grand Opera and the Young Patronesses of the Opera, Coral Gables Art Cinema presents “Joyeux Noël,” a moving prelude to Florida Grand Opera’s upcoming production of “Silent Night” by composer Kevin Puts.
An Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominee for Best Foreign Film, “Joyeux Noël” revisits the extraordinary Christmas Eve truce of World War I, when soldiers from opposing sides laid down their weapons and met in the middle for a single night of humanity. Starring Diane Krüger, Daniel Brühl, and Benno Fürmann, the film captures the quiet resilience and shared hope that transcend even the darkest of times.
