Frida – Viva La Vida

To mark what would have been Frida Kahlo’s 118th birthday, Great Art on Screen presents a special screening of “Frida – Viva la Vida,” a documentary that explores the artist’s dual legacy—as a groundbreaking painter and as a woman shaped by love, pain, and politics.

Narrated by Asia Argento, the film draws from Kahlo’s personal letters and diaries, combining archival footage, interviews, and images of her work housed in museums across Mexico. It offers a closer look at both the public and private dimensions of one of the 20th century’s most recognized figures.
