DESCRIPTION:The Jon Lehrer Dance Company returns to Sanctuary of the Arts with a program of contemporary works performed by its eight-member ensemble. Led by choreographer Jon Lehrer\, the company presents a mix of repertory and newer pieces that emphasize athletic movement\, musicality\, and ensemble precision. \n\n\n\nThe program includes “Cash or Check?” (2014)\, set in a 1920s nightclub and built around rhythmic\, character-driven choreography\, and “Fused” (2025)\, which combines classical and contemporary movement with a score that blends classical and Cuban music. Additional works round out the evening. \n\n\n\nGuest performances by Dance NOW! Miami and the Sanctuary of the Arts Choreographic Ensemble are also included. The performance marks the company’s second consecutive year at the venue and reflects its ongoing touring repertoire developed over nearly two decades.
