The event includes a screening of the 1941 animated film “Raggedy Ann and Andy” with popcorn\, followed by activities for all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring a favorite doll or plush toy for photos with the historic dolls on display. \n\n\n\nThe original dolls were donated to the Coral Gables Branch Library by Myrtle Gruelle\, widow of Johnny Gruelle\, author and illustrator of the Raggedy Ann book series\, first published in 1918. The dolls were displayed at the library for many years before being relocated during renovations. They will be on view for this special event before being reinstalled at the branch later this summer.
