SUMMARY:Frost Chopin Academy & Festival: Ted Rosenthal Trio - "Classics Reimagined: Impromp2”
DESCRIPTION:The Frost Chopin Academy & Festival concludes with a performance by the Ted Rosenthal Trio. Pianist and composer Ted Rosenthal will present selections from his album “Classics Reimagined: Impromp2\,” which reinterprets themes by composers including Frédéric Chopin\, Johannes Brahms\, and Antonín Dvořák through the format of a jazz trio. \n\n\n\nThe program will also feature music from Rosenthal’s album “High Standards” as well as original compositions from “The Ted Rosenthal Songbook.” Known for blending elements of classical music and jazz\, Rosenthal’s work explores how familiar melodies and themes can be adapted through improvisation and contemporary arrangements. \n\n\n\nThe concert will open with performances by selected participants of the Academy\, who will perform works by Chopin. \n\n\n\nServing as the closing event of the festival\, the performance brings together classical repertoire and jazz interpretation through a program of arrangements and original compositions.

SUMMARY:Mainly Mozart Festival 2026: THREE VISIONS OF THE SONATA
DESCRIPTION:Winner of the 2025 Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition\, pianist Saehyun Kim has quickly drawn international attention for the refinement\, color\, and expressive depth of his playing. Praised by Diapason as “an exceptional artist” and by Le Figaro for his “stunning profusion of colors\,” Kim has appeared at major venues in the U.S.\, France\, Austria\, South Korea\, and Japan\, and is currently based in Boston\, where he studies in the Harvard/NEC dual degree program. \n\n\n\nIn this richly contrasted recital\, Kim brings together three masterworks that reveal the piano’s many voices. Schubert’s Sonata in G major\, D. 894 unfolds with spacious lyricism\, serenity\, and quiet nobility. After intermission\, Mozart’s Piano Sonata in B-flat major\, K. 281 offers wit\, elegance\, and youthful brilliance\, before Chopin’s Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor brings the evening to a powerful close — a work of turbulence\, poetry\, and haunting inevitability. \n\n\n\nProgram Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 18 in G Major\, D. 894 Mozart: Piano Sonata No. 3 in B-flat Major\, K. 281 Chopin: Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor\, Op. 35
