Created by artisan women from Etzatlán\, Mexico\, the work introduces a canopy of color and pattern across the pedestrian corridor. \n\n\n\nPresented with support from the Consulate of Mexico\, the installation highlights traditional weaving techniques and brings cultural craftsmanship into a public setting. The project marks the first phase of the Giralda Sky series\, with a second installation scheduled to debut in August.

It is\, as she describes it\, an offering to ghosts and gods and the vessels in which they long to be seen. \n\n\n\nAbrão is an artist\, writer\, and digital creator born and raised in West Los Angeles\, known online as sighswoon. With over 130\,000 followers\, her work has long explored the ephemerality of human experience and the language of the invisible. \n\n\n\nThe event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase the night of the event. An RSVP guarantees entry but not a seat\, so arriving early is encouraged.
